March 14, 1932

The March 14 issue of Time featured Col. Clarence Marshall Young, the Assistant Secretary for Aeronautics. An influential man in the still fledgling air industry, Col. Young is shown as the mastermind spearheading the continued growth of the industry. A point of interest is that the previous year was the first to see a decrease in total miles flown in the US, a sign of the effects of the Great Depression.
