"Our object, in this design, is to give the greatest amount of accommodation and convenience, at the smallest cost, for the dwelling of a large family who live in a very simple and economical manner. While the exterior is, therefore, very plain, the least possible ornament being used, there is still an expression of symmetrical beauty, and a certain cheerfulness of external effect.
