Audio Digitizing
In this exercise, we're going to add material to the virtual radio station from the 1930s and 40s, AS@UVA On the Air. Last year's class digitized the first 16 episodes of The Adventures of Superman; this year we'll work on either The Cavalcade of America, a series of half-hour dramas from the 30s and early 40s about the traditional American spirit, or something else?
I'm asking you to digitize one episode from the the program, converting it from MP3 to .mov (QuickTime). After you create your audio file -- and make it as web-ready as possible -- store one copy in your unix account and ftp another copy to your folder on .xroads.
The raw material will be on reserve in the Media Center in Clemons; as usual, sign up for your episode on the list on my door.
