HTML Tagging Exercise:
We are going to convert a plain .txt edition of W.H.Prescott's The Conquest of Mexico to HTML.
The book is huge, something over 1,000 pages; its broken down into about 50 chapters of roughly equal length -- i.e., about 5 chapters apiece. I'll post a sign up sheet on my door; initial the chapters you want to take. You can retrieve your .txt chapters by going to
Your browser will open to the index; just click on your chapters and save them to a local file, then go to work converting to html.
Protocols: create a template with 90% table centered; Chapter # and title in H3; BACK | FRONT buttons at the bottom of each chapter; each chapter saved as chxx.html.
