During this Lab we'll explore the Web Browser, discuss fundamentals of HTML coding, create a basic homepage, and discuss the ways in which content can be generated and installed. I'll assume you've purchased HTML for Dummies and have begun familiarizing yourself with HTML. You can also use web accessible tutorials like these:
For next week, sign up for a section of John Dewey's Democracy and Education and on the tagging sheet on my office door (Bryan 427); follow the directions and post your section to your homepage by next Wednesday.
Before the lab, sign up for one of the photoshop exercizes and one of the scanning exercises.

Week of 10/13: Advanced Photoshop: Paul Volpe Week of 10/20:Tricks and ToolsNOTE: For your final project, I'll either ask you to re-design an already existing site on xroads or, as we discussed, set you to work on two exhibits for Calaloo. In either case, you might begin now looking for xroads candidates for re-design, something that needs it and that would offer you an opportunity to bring to bear on it what you will have learned by the end of the semester.
