Over the past few years we've been gathering materials for a small exhibition on The Index of American Design. We've also had a few projects that focused on cover art of the period, pulp fiction, science fiction, The Saturday Evening Post and Fortune Magazine. I'd like you to work on the covers for Vanity Fair (The American magazine). I'll ask each of you to take one year between 1930 and 1936 when Vanity Fair was absorbed by Vogue Magazine. The object is to find a way to represent the world as seen through the eyes of the magazine. Eventually, we'll have to agree on a common design for the resulting site.
