The State Theatre, 2000 (Davis)
The State Theatre is located at the corner of Washington Street and Park Place. The Art Deco theatre opened in 1935 and was the first theater in Virginia to offer Sunday shows.

The theater remained in operation until 1989. It recently reopened to the public.
