The Maltese Falcon

The Maltese Falcon (1941) is a crime story about a long sought after treasure. A woman appears at the office of Spade & asking them to trail a dangerous man. Soon a story of theft and murder is underway.

The plot brings to the forefront America's quest for money and power. Humphrey Bogart, as Dectective Sam Spade, counters the idea of a greed driven society, by showing that the law and morality are still part of America. He finds himself having to come to the bottom of this high stakes search for the Maltese Falcon, bringing justice--even at the cost of love.
