WILLIAM DE LEFTWICH DODGE

American painter, 1867-1935, best known for his Art Nouveau murals, including a series decorating a room in the Library of Congress. Dodge painted at least two murals for the Main Lobby of the Hotel, one depicting "Hudson's Arrival on Manhattan Island" and another of "Modern New York."
