Terms of the Internship

Interns will devote approximately 30 hours per week for a ten week period between mid-May and mid-August. Specific dates will be worked out between the student and the co-sponsoring agency. Undergraduate students can earn up to $1,875 for the summer. Unless otherwise indicated, graduate students can earn up to $3,600. Each student will have a site supervisor.

Who May Apply

Students in good standing enrolled full-time during the Spring semester prior to the internship may apply for the summer opportunities. Matches will be made on the basis of the student's qualifications to meet the needs of the agency which is co-sponsoring the internship. Fields of greatest interest include history, anthropology, archaeology, art history, architecture, education, and American studies. No student will be excluded because of discipline, however.
