The three films included in this section were produced by the Jam Handy Corporation under the commission of the General Motors Corporation. If not simple commercials themselves, they certainly serve a commercial function as they glorify the mission of General Motors and the Chrysler Corporation.

In contrast to the non-industry films examined in this website, which abandon pastoralism either as antiquated or unrealistic, the Jam Handy productions are premised upon the idea of a nurturing natural world which, in its boundless geniality, assists man's technological feats or, at the very least, stays out of his way.
