It's definitely time to update this page--especially since some wonderful, curious, people from College Park have been poking around (Hi everybody! Great meeting you!).

New software to play with at work: Cakewalk Home Studio and Beatnik (sonification). Listen for sounds on these pages in the near future.

If you missed the first all-class AS@UVA reunion over Labor Day weekend, you missed out! I'm sure all the alumns join me in wishing the best of luck to this year's class.

Off to Edisto for a week. A little watermelon, a little seashell hunting, a little shagging (the dance), and a lot of sleeping and reading. But, of course, I'll be well wired. There wil only be three of us in the house, but there will be four cell phones, two laptops, two Palm Pilots, about twenty e-mail accounts... you get the picture. Nobody call me though. If I really wanted to talk to you, I probably would have invited you to the beach.

Oh, good news. Kent and I splurged on season tickets to the Washington Opera this year. You should see my boss shoes.

Liz and I are training to bike the C&O towpath  down from Maryland sometime next year. There's a good chance you'll run into us one evening after work, on the Mount Vernon trail usually.

Girl Scouts is off to a good start this year. Mary and I are going to have to work on the whole Spanish thing, but all the girls are ready, willing, and able. At the first meeting, one wanted to know how soon we could go camping and another said she really hoped she would learn a lot in Girl Scouts this year. There was no talk about jail or "spelunking" or how great Nickelodeon is.

Funnest things I've done this month: coloring with Michelle, and salsa-making with Liz.
