WORK EXPERIENCE:

University of Virginia Writing Center, Charlottesville, VA; 9/97-5/98
Writing Center Tutor: Worked with all levels of college students one-on-one to help them improve various areas of their writing. Led writing workshop groups, participated in on-going training sessions in areas such as agrumentation, style and organization.

Bar Lazy J Guest Ranch, Parshall, CO; Summer 1995/96
Assistant Head Wrangler: Worked with a staff of six wranglers on guest ranch serving forty guests per week. Assisted head wrangler in organizing the barn, the staff and interviewing guests to set up the daily riding schedule. Led all-day rides, provided horsemanship instruction and gave training demonstrations.
Children's Wrangler: Organized children's riding program each week, including trail rides, ring lessons and relay races. Led trail rides twice daily. Participated with guests in other activities including square dance, campfire and socials.

Biotechnology Training Program, University of Wisconsin; 1/94-12/95
Program Assistant: Proofread, edited and fomatted business correspondence and newsletter articles for graduate school grant program. Performed general office tasks. Utilized WordPerfect 6.1, Lotus 1,2,3 and Microsoft Publisher.

Trail's End Camp for Boys and Girls, Beach Lake, PA; Summer 1993, 1994
Horseback Riding Instructor: Worked with two other instructors to run 100 student riding program at an 8-week camp. Taught individual and group huntseat riding lessons and led trail rides for children ages 7 to 15. Responsible for the care of nine horses as well as all barn work.
