Freedom Singers led by Charles Neblett
Written by James Orange in rhythm and blues style, this song was directed at George Wallace, who used the full powers of the governor's office to obstruct the efforts of the Alabama civil rights struggle. The song became popular on the 1965 Selma-to-Mountgomery March. Here it is sung by the second group of SNCC Freedom Singers, led by baritone-bass Charles Neblett.
