So, you're interested in the program? The next step is to apply. Before you complete the application and medical form, please read the following:
Application procedures: Applications will be evaluated as they arrive, and admissions will be handled on a rolling basis. The final deadline for application is Friday, March 1, 2001. All application packets must include the following:
Prerequisites: Applicants are required to have a 2.7 g.p.a. on a 4.0 scale, although the admissions committee will have the discretion to admit students with lower g.p.a.s under certain circumstances.
Dates: Students should make arrangements to arrive in London Sunday, June 11, and the program will then run until Friday, July 7. Six hours of credit will be awarded for participation in the program.
Class Schedule: We will meet approximately four hours a day, four days a week, for four weeks. Participants in the program will be expected to attend class regularly. If admitted to the program, please be prepared to limit your excursions to weekends.
Passport: You will need a valid U.S. passport. Visas or special immunizations ARE NOT required for travel to and within the United Kingdom. If you do not have a valid passport, we advise that you apply for one as soon as possible.
Fees: The cost of the program is $3150. A processing fee of $20 must accompany each application. Students who enroll in the program may deduct the application fee from the total. The cost of the program includes tuition; housing; 45-pound-per-week meal voucher; round-trip excursion to Greenwich Observatory; tickets to four (4) plays; and admission to some museums. The cost of the program does not include round-trip air fare to London; health insurance; books; and additional excursions. Those who wish to enroll must send a non-refundable deposit of $500 no later than three weeks after notice of admission. Failure to pay the deposit on time could lead to loss of a position in the program.
