Wyant's Store has been around for quite a long time; the current owner, Larry Wyant, is the latest in a long line of Wyant men to stand behind the counter. The store has been in the family for over 5 generations. The crock pots above brimmed with fresh strew; the sticker below seems just as old-fashioned. It reads: "Anyone can count the number of seeds in an apple. But only God count the number of apples in a seed."

Ed, above, has lived in Whitehall since he was born in 1930. He meets Johnny, below, almost every day at the store. They are often joined by some other local men and their conversation centers mainly on the surrounding properties. Ed was very eager to have his picture taken and said that he had the makings of a model. Johnny laughed and hoped that I wouldn't turn the camera on him but in the end he obliged as well.
