Snow's General Merchanise is located just a few miles from
the Blue Ridge School in Dyke, Virginia. The two women behind the counter
stressed with the arrival of over twenty workers, had little time to speak
with me. I was particularly interested in this large american flag outside
the store. I went back at night to hopefully take an interesting picture
with a single light on it but there was none. |

I did not actually speak with anyone at Rockfield Grocery outside of Ivy,
Virginia. Numerous individuals told me this store was open but it never
seemed to be when I stopped by. Just recently reopened, it is primarily
a feed store. |

This abandoned store caught my attention heading back towards Charlottesville
one afternoon on Route 250. While it is difficult to tell when the store
might have closed, there was a bustling, newer gas station within half of
a mile. |
