This experimental text is designed to project some of the meaning of Mark Twain's Pudd'nhead Wilson toward you, the reader. For this purpose, I have identified six themes which run throughout the novel. Each of these six readings are presented as separately highlighted passages throughout the text. In addition to the themes I have outlined, the attached search engine allows the reader to find key passages and words throughout Pudd'nhead Wilson and other selected Twain texts. This electronic text will, I hope, make the process of reading more sophisticated and rewarding than the reading of conventional texts.

First, select and read the attached instructions and the editor's preface. After exploring all links of this introduction, return to the index and enter the Smartext.
