Dear Bro. Frost.
Many thanks for you kindness to send some Sabbath School Literature free for we
are quite poor here but have such an interesting little Sabbath school. We are a regular
little mission field that should be looked after by our Board–. We will make an order,
and please write us immediately what it will cost monthly. We have enough funds to pay
awhile & think our weekly contribution will keep us up– I will not see the Seccy
[Secretary] before Sunday–. So please trust us–. Your money shall be forthcoming on
return mail– The children will be so disappointed without any papers Sunday–. I do
trust our Baptist friends will keep their eye on this little struggling band here.
Please send–.
2 doz Weekly Kind Words–.
1 doz Lesson Cards–.
1 doz Intermediate quartirly [sic]
with price of so much
Yours truly,
Jas. C. Wells.
[Frost probably wrote the note at the bottom of this letter, which reads: "One third off
regular price."]
