Samuel Danforth was the son of Samuel Danforth (May 15, 1701-June 28, 1749). Little is known of this Samuel except that he was born on May 15, 1701 in Billerica, Massachusetts and that he died there June 28, 1749.
He married Elizabeth Hosley (January 18, 1699 - July 3, 1756).
He had six children by this marriage: James (January 10, 1729-30), Isaac (January 9, 1731 - May 10, 1756), Samuel (December 8, 1734 - bound out to his Majesty's Service in Canada), Nicholas (December 8, 1734 -- twin of his bother Samuel), Elizabeth (May 10, 1736 - married first cousin William Danforth), and Jonathan (February 26, 1742).
