This month's article is being supplied by the Soapnuts Listmom standing in for Camille (who is doing her best to stay sane while packing up her whole family to make their big move to Texas...). Good luck Camille!

Spelling Quiz?
My favorite spelling error this month was typed by none other than Camille! Her rendition of 'quacker oats' had me quacking like a duck! I will award her bonus points for knowing as she typed that she was probably spelling it wrong, but it was still funny.

Funniest Post
I  had a really good laugh from our dear Hel's post explaining just what an "inside fart" is in cat language.... For those of you cat-less people, this is what occurs when a cat chases a dog into a corner and just has to have the last word and does the surprising "inside fart," by puffing up his fur and showing Hel's dog just who reigns supreme-pet in that household.

Tip of the Month
This month more than a few members expressed an interest in making the elusive perfect goatsmilk soaps [GMS]. Jan(baz) sent in a reminder that soap made with goats milk [GM] really heats up, especially when poured into pvc pipes, and does not require any extra insulation. Here's the method that she gleaned from listening to other GMS makers on the list on how to  incorporate the most GM into your soaps: "add the GM like this and you get more GM stuffed into your soap: Say the liquid measurement is 15 oz., add your lye to 5 oz. of water. Have 10 oz. of room temp GM measured out. Add the 5 oz. of lye water to your fats when the temps are right (I mix at about 100 degrees for a small batch), stir these together some but not to trace, and then add  the 10 oz. of room temp GM. I get trace with the recipe I use in just moments after adding the GM, so you have to have everything ready and work fast."

Ladies and Gentlemen We Have a Tie!
This month's most talked about topic (aside from labeling requirements, which  I decided not to include this time around) results in a tie between Kathy and Jan.... Kathy's infamous Voodoo Berry fragrance attracted so much attention from list members, that the pestering finally wore her down and we have all been given the opportunity to purchase some of her own "secret" concoction for our own use. Now we can all have that intoxicating scent around us all the time... For anyone wishing to order this FO from her, she is offering it in two sizes, 1 and 2 ounce bottles, for the price of $8.70 and $10.00 respectively. You can contact Kathy at kithkath@hotmail.com

J'son's Creations have astounded newbie and old timers alike with soaps that are true works of art. You can see her rendition of 'soap gems' and be sure to check out her absolutely gorgeous 'bear soap'... the labeling is very impressive. See all this and more at http://members.wbs.net/homepages/j/s/o/json97/Creations2.html

Last but not least, I would like to congratulate list member Joannine for successfully becoming a full-fledged newbie soapmaker after a few mis-haps. Congratulations, Joannine, you're well on your way to being a "nut"! Congratulations also go out to those list members who made their first batches of melt and pour, CP or hp soaps.... I don't have all the names written down within easy access at the moment and I have to make my deadline to turn this article in or risk Courtney's wrath...
