We begin our education with a sense of direction, with an impulse towards ordering, but we discover a chaos in our knowledge that may at times seem overwhelming. Our quest for wisdom becomes a-destinational, as we are flooded with too much information. We must engage randomly acquired texts and try to incorporate them into a simplified worldview. The process can be demanding, and can send us running towards a safe haven that doesn't exist. In a moment of grace, all the pieces fall into place. Is it fate or luck? In our most seemingly arbitrary experiences, we must grab our multiple texts and enter into the randomness, utilize it, and come out into coherence. In the end, there is stability in instability, and order in chaos. We can seek an explanation for all things.
